The Huron River Greenway Initiative

The Huron River Greenway Initiative has developed wonderful and well-used trails, playgrounds, picnic spots, and boating opportunities in Riverside, Argo, Bandemer, Gallup, Fuller, Island, and Cedar Bend Parks, as well as establishing several nature areas. Recently, there has been renewed interest in Lower Town and its potential to once again be a densely populated and active, thriving neighborhood. Along with this interest, there is a concentrated and active movement to improve and expand the Huron River Greenway and make it an integral part of Lower Town's character and amenities. The project to revitalize Broadway Park attempts to integrate the park into the Huron River Greenway, while also letting it speak of its layered history.
