Students on Site: Ypsilanti is a collaboration between the Ypsilanti Historical Society, the University of Michigan Bentley Historical Library, the teachers, students, and administrators of the Ypsilanti Public Schools, and the University of Michigan Arts of Citizenship Program.  The project is designed to improve the quality of local history education in Ypsilanti third grade classrooms by creating innovative teaching tools and implementing thoughtful programming.  Through these efforts, we engage third grade level students in their community's past, encouraging them to imagine the roles they could play in Ypsilanti's future.

Funded in part by the Michigan Humanities Council and the University of Michigan Office of the Vice President for Research.
