The Huron River was important in the growth of Ypsilanti industry. Here is the woolen mill that was converted into an Underwear factory in the 1800s. Ypsilanti became famous for the Underwear made here with slogans like, "If love grows cold do not despair, there's always Ypsilanti Underwear!"
