Ypsilanti railroad depot

The Ypsilanti Michigan Central Train Depot was built in 1864, and for years it stood above any depot in the area.  The train station was in many ways the center of town.  Hotels and businesses grew around it, and a there was a park next to the depot where people could stroll while waiting for a train to arrive.
